My Universe. My Rules.

Good buddy - BiBi McDoom - sent me a link to discover the depths of my personality (you need to scroll down to find the personality test). It's one of those pick and choose from this list and I'll tell you about yourself. I've done these a number of times, and I'm always amazed at how accurate it is. I know there's a science (or psychology rather) behind it, but it's still fun.
And so without any further adiue Read all about me...I mean really, who wouldn't want to?

Personality focus: Moods - Sofisticat! - You’re drawn to the drama of a big spectacle and appreciate the unpredictability of nature. You like life rugged and rough round the edges. When it comes to art, you appreciate flair and precision. Highbrow and in the know, you’ve got an eye for fine detail. As for music, it’s the soundtrack to your world. An open road, your favorite tracks – just sit back, put your foot on the gas and enjoy! (Author side note: For those of you who really know me, you're probably thinking - "good lord - that's exactly how she is.)

Personality focus: Fun - Escape Artist - Always the first to take the leap, you like to look forward, and try to have no regrets. You like to see where life takes you – this positive attitude will give you a wealth of experience. For kicks, nothing beats being out in the open. You are fascinated by the world around you and love to immerse yourself in nature. When it comes to holidays you like to explore, and immerse yourself in another culture. Always on the go, you take in as much as you can. You find it hard to switch off, as you like to be absorbing new information all the time. (Author side note: If you've EVER been on vacation with me, you know for a fact that I rarely sit still. I'm so sure I'll miss something if I don't go-go-go)

Personality focus: Habits - Junkie Monkey - You love the luxury of taking time for yourself. There’s nothing quite as enjoyable as relaxing, unwinding and living a pampered life. And why not? You deserve it. Your choice of drink (coffee) reflects your love of the stability and comfort of routine. And it’s fair to say that you sometimes need an extra kick to get going. As for the home you have very cool and contemporary taste. You like your surroundings to be simple and functional.

Personality focus: Social - Nostalgic - You’re a bit of a nostalgic deep down. Nothing beats the good times that you and your friends have shared. You’re always up for a trip down memory lane. When you think of freedom – you think of being in charge of your direction. The open road and a full tank can take you pretty much anywhere. (Author side note: One just has to look at the 18 scrapbooks in my spare room and the hundreds of photos I have to know this one's true.)

In other non Jenn news - or well actually it is Jenn news cuz you're reading MY blog. Saving 2nd Base will be walking 12/10 this weekend - still training. We have just two training weekends left before the big 6 - 0! They released a vague description of the route. So for those of you who know this area it will make sense. For those who don't, just pretend.

Here's a general description of what you will experience along the way:
After leaving the Opening Ceremony at Bellevue Community College on Friday, you will head north through the beautiful city of Bellevue. There will be plenty of shade as you walk downhill along the Lake Hills Connector. The route will pass through several lovely neighborhoods before heading into downtown Bellevue for lunch. The last few miles will take you into Redmond, through the Microsoft campus and on the Sammamish River Trail before heading into camp.

On Saturday, you will pass through the two great cities of Redmond and Kirkland. Then head north on the Sammamish River trail and then east into Kirkland. A beautiful lunch stop on the water is sure to make for a great photo op. The route will turn south through Kirkland into its quaint downtown and continue along the waterfront. On the way back to camp, you will pass through the tree-shaded Bridle trails area. The final stretch will go back into Redmond along the trail into camp
.

After a short bus ride over Lake Washington on Sunday morning, you'll find yourself in Seattle near the beautiful University of Washington Arboretum. The day starts on a very shaded trail and travels over to the University. After a short walk through the gorgeous campus grounds, you will head west towards Green Lake. A brief walk around the lake travels close to the Woodland Park Zoo and down into the cute town of Wallingford. Heading south towards Lake Union, you will enjoy another beautiful lunch stop. You will then pass through the funky Fremont area before heading south into downtown. The final leg of the route travels through the heart of downtown, past the famous Pike Place Market and along the waterfront before heading through the Sculpture Garden and over to the Closing Ceremony at the Seattle Center.

We've been wondering how we were going to get into Seattle from the Eastside as we figured walking around the lake was more than the 16 the third day usually is. I'm excited now - as if I wasn't excited before - for the walk.
